Lamont McCoy, is a man on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ where God leads. Music has always played a huge part in his life. He served as Jurisdictional Minister of Music for Michigan Western Jurisdiction, where Bishop Melvin Burton is Prelate.

McCoy is a member of Trinity Church of God in Christ in Benton Harbor, MI, where he serves as Executive Pastor under the leadership of Administrative Assistant Bruce A. McCoy. He counts among his musical influences The Clark Sisters, John Legend, Daryl Coley, Kelly Price, John P. Kee, Faith Evans, and his mentor, the Late Rose Marie Rimson-Brown. He also studied under the legendary Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and was a member of her Southwest Jurisdictional Mass Choir.

McCoy began his professional music career as a background vocalist for various gospel artists in the early 90s. Since that time, he has worked with legends Twinkie Clark, Walter Hawkins, Clifton Davis, Lisa Page-Brooks, Jacky Clark-Chisolm, Edwin Hawkins, Beverly Crawford, and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, just to name a few.

"Although I have so many great influences, my style is totally different", says McCoy. "I want to make a different impact in the music world period, not just on the gospel industry." McCoy's desire to create a sound that changes the atmosphere immediately for all those who listen and places them in the presence of God.

His style is traditional with a contemporary twist, with just enough flavor to keep them listening, but with lyrics that will touch the heart and change lives forever.

McCoy's music will touch the most seasoned churchgoer and "the anointing of the music breaks every yoke, so they that receive will see a part of God's Shekinah Glory."

In December of 2005, McCoy recorded his first solo project, live with special guest Nikki Ross, Jacky Clark-Chisolm, and Twinkie Clark. In October of 2023, McCoy released a soul stirring project entitled "I Won't Forget". Produced by Ernest J. Lee.

McCoy's prayer is that hearts are changed and that people are blessed by the ministry that God has given to him. His desire is that his music reaches every part of the world and the gospel impacts everyone's life.
